In 2019, a 2.8% percent increase to Security (SSA) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will benefit more than 67 million Americans. The 2.8% percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) will begin with benefits payable to more than 62 million Americans in January 2019. More than 8 million Americans will begin receiving the increased benefits on December 31, 2018.

Medicare

Beneficiaries will receive communication through the EIV system, the mailed COLA Notice and https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/
Annual Recertification’s that have been completed for January 2019 or February 2019 are not required to be corrected unless requested by the resident to allow for the Medicare expense.

Veterans Administration
The 2.8% Percent Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increase will be applied to the VA Disability Rates effective December 1, 2018.
